After recording significant increases in March and April 2026, in a context marked by the conflict affecting Lebanon and higher global oil prices, the Fuel Price Index registered a slight monthly decline of 1.07% in May 2026, indicating a moderation in fuel price movements.
Overview
The annual change in the Consumer Price Index recorded an increase of 17.25% in June 2026 compared with June 2025.
As for the monthly change in the Consumer Price Index for June, the following rates were recorded across the governorates:
• A decrease of 0.73% in Beirut Governorate
• A decrease of 0.76% in Mount Lebanon Governorate
• A decrease of 0.15% in North Lebanon Governorate
• A decrease of 1.43% in Bekaa Governorate
• A decrease of 0.70% in South Lebanon Governorate
• A decrease of 1.59% in Nabatieh Governorate
*Note: Due to the continuation of the current situation, the price collection process continues to face challenges, particularly in Nabatieh Governorate, where the Consumer Price Index was calculated using a large number of imputed prices, as the collection of most actual prices was not possible.
