Statistics In Focus (SIF) is a series of publications offering key social and economic indicators on Lebanon, developed under the EU Twinning Project between the Central Administration of Statistics (CAS) in Lebanon and the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA) in the UK. Each issue presents essential figures and trends, primarily based on the Multiple Indicators Cluster Survey, Round 3 (MICS3) conducted by CAS in 2009 in partnership with UNICEF-Beirut, with additional data from CAS surveys and administrative records.
The SIF series comprises four distinct issues, each focusing on a specific topic: Lebanon’s labour market, population and housing characteristics, education statistics, and children’s situation. These issues provide valuable data that help users understand the situation in Lebanon and make comparisons with neighboring countries.
تلقي مجموعة إصدارات سلسلة Statistics In Focus (SIF) الضوء على عدد من المؤشرات الاجتماعية والاقتصادية في لبنان، وقد تم تطويرها في إطار برنامج التوأمة الأوروبي بين إدارة الإحصاء المركزي (CAS) في لبنان ووكالة الأبحاث والاحصاءات في شمال أيرلندا (NISRA) – المملكة المتحدة. يستعرض كل عدد بيانات رئيسية يوفرها بشكل أساسي المسح العنقودي متعدد المؤشرات (MICS3) بدورته الثالثة الذي أجرته إدارة الإحصاء المركزي عام 2009 بالشراكة مع اليونيسف – بيروت، إلى جانب بيانات إضافية من مسوحات إحصائية منفذة سابقاً من قبل إدارة الإحصاء المركزي أو مصادر البيانات الإدارية المجمّعة من قبل وزارات أخرى.
تتألف سلسلة SIF من أربع منشورات تتطرّق كل منها إلى مواضيع محددة وهي: سوق العمل وخصائص السكان والمساكن وإحصاءات التعليم ووضع الأطفال في لبنان. كما توفر بيانات مهمة تساعد المستخدمين على فهم الواقع في لبنان ومقارنته بالبلدان المجاورة.
