Overview
The annual change in the Consumer Price Index recorded an increase of 20.02% in April 2026 compared with April 2025.
As for the monthly change in the Consumer Price Index for April, the following rates were recorded across the governorates:
• An increase of 2.02% in Beirut Governorate
• An increase of 2.71% in Mount Lebanon Governorate
• An increase of 2.54% in North Lebanon Governorate
• An increase of 5.74% in Bekaa Governorate
• An increase of 3.72% in South Lebanon Governorate
• An increase of 3.97% in Nabatieh Governorate
*Note: Due to the continued impact of the current situation in Lebanon, field challenges continued to affect the price collection process. During April, these challenges prevented the collection of prices for most goods and services in Nabatieh Governorate, in addition to limiting the collection of certain prices in areas affected by security constraints. Accordingly, the approved statistical methods for handling missing data were applied to ensure the timely release of the index.
